1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern the sale of tickets for karting events in California organized by FAT Karting League, operated by Fat Karting League (California) LLC ("FKL", "we", "us", or "our"). The person making the booking is the "Customer". A child or young person taking part is a "Participant". 

1.2 By purchasing a ticket, you confirm your agreement to these T&Cs for yourself, the Participant and any guests in your party. The Customer must be aged 18 or over and, for each Participant under 18, must be the parent or legal guardian or have the parent or legal guardian's express authority to make the booking. Nothing in these T&Cs limits any right that cannot lawfully be waived under California law. 

Individual Event Tickets: Grant access to a single event. 

Season Tickets: Provide access to multiple events within a specified time period. 

2.2 All tickets will be issued as e-tickets. 

2.3 From time to time, we may provide special offers, such as early bird discounts. These offers will be governed by their specific terms, which will be communicated at the time and operate alongside these T&Cs unless expressly stated otherwise. All advertised ticket prices include all mandatory fees and charges, other than government-imposed taxes and fees. 

2.4 FAT Karting League reserves the right to deny entry to any individual at its sole discretion for reasons related to health and safety, eligibility, or any breach of these T&Cs, the Code of Conduct or the FKL Rules and Sporting Regulations. Where the Customer or Participant is not at fault, the Customer will be offered, at the Customer's election, a full refund or a credit for an alternative event. Where the Customer or Participant is at fault, no refund will be provided. 

2.5 From time to time, we may move a participant between championships based on safety or performance at our sole discretion. If the participant is a season ticket holder and no longer wishes to participate, a pro-rated refund will be applied for the remaining events. 

3.1 The number of events included in a season ticket will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase. 

3.2 All event locations are provisional and subject to change. 

Parents or legal guardians must accompany participants under the age of 18 to events unless prior arrangements are confirmed in writing by FAT Karting League. The accompanying adult remains responsible for the participant except to the extent that FAT Karting League has expressly accepted supervision responsibility in writing for a defined period. 

All participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate safely in motorsport activities. FAT Karting League reserves the right to request a medical certificate confirming fitness to race. FAT Karting League will consider reasonable accommodations where required by applicable law, and may refuse or stop participation where it reasonably considers that participation would create an unacceptable risk to the participant or others. 

FAT Karting League maintains event liability insurance where required by venue or applicable law. This insurance does not provide personal medical or accident coverage for participants. Participants are responsible for maintaining their own health and accident insurance coverage. 

All participants, parents, and guardians must adhere to FAT Karting League’s Code of Conduct and all applicable circuit or venue safety regulations. This includes refraining from abusive language, unsafe behaviour, and unsportsmanlike conduct during events. 

Threatening verbal or physical conduct towards FAT Karting League staff will be reported to the police. 

Any breach of the Code of Conduct may result in: 

No refunds will be provided in such cases. 

7.1 Each Participant and, for any Participant under 18, the Participant's parent or legal guardian (signing both individually and on the Participant's behalf) must sign FAT Karting League's separate Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Assumption of Risk Agreement and all other required safety waivers before participating in any event. Failure to do so will result in disqualification without a refund. 

7.2 All drivers and their parent or legal representative must attend the drivers briefing. Failure to do so will result in disqualification without a refund. 

By selecting the media consent box when booking, you consent, for yourself and, as parent or legal guardian, on behalf of the Participant, to FAT Karting League ("FKL") and its authorised partners, sponsors, contractors and media representatives photographing, filming and audio-recording you and the Participant at the event, and using your and the Participant's name, image, likeness and voice for promotional, publicity, advertising and marketing purposes worldwide across websites, social media, including Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and TikTok, paid advertising, sponsored or boosted social media content and other paid media campaigns, and digital, printed and other marketing materials. Sponsors may use this content only to promote FKL events or their association with FKL. 

You confirm that you are authorised to give this consent for yourself and the registered driver, that you are the parent or legal guardian of any minor driver for whom you provide consent, and that you will notify your attending party and obtain any permissions required from them. 

Consent may be withdrawn for future use by emailing privacy@fat-kartingleague.com. FKL will take reasonable steps to discontinue and, where reasonably practicable, remove identifiable content under its control, but withdrawal will not affect previous uses, and FKL cannot guarantee removal from printed materials, archives, advertising campaigns already in circulation, or content already published, distributed, shared or controlled by third parties. If you do not give consent, or withdraw it, the Participant may still take part. FKL will issue an identifier at check-in and take reasonable steps not to use identifiable images of that Participant for promotional purposes, but cannot guarantee that the Participant will not appear incidentally in crowd, race or broadcast footage. 

Attendees must follow any no-photography instructions and must not photograph or film in changing, medical, welfare or other restricted areas. FKL may restrict personal filming where reasonably necessary for safety, safeguarding, privacy or venue compliance. 

A participant will be ineligible to win a local or World Championship, or any FKL prize, if they step down a class or Championship. 

Example: if a driver has raced in Junior Pro, they will be ineligible if they race in Junior Regional the following year. 

FKL World Champions will be declared based on points scored participating at the World Final. 

Participants will score Championship points in their local Championships. Based on these points, a subset of participants from each FAT Karting League local Championship will be invited to the World Finals. 

The World Finals will take place at the end of the calendar year. 

Selection decisions made by FAT Karting League are final.
